ECONCARE, in collaboration with the "ΡευΜΑζην", the Panhellenic Federation of Patient, Parent, Guardian, and Friend Associations of Children with Rheumatic Diseases and with the support of UCB, has conducted a comprehensive research study titled "Psoriatic Arthritis & Axial Spondyloarthritis: The Burden of Disease and Patient Journey in Greece (2024)."

The study aimed to map the patient journey for individuals with Psoriatic Arthritis and Axial Spondyloarthritis in Greece, while also evaluating the burden these diseases impose on patients in terms of productivity loss and socioeconomic impact.

The research was conducted from September to December 2023, involving 148 patients with Psoriatic Arthritis and 150 patients with Axial Spondyloarthritis, all of whom are members of patient associations.

Key findings include:

• The time between the first symptoms and the final diagnosis and treatment.
• The most common symptoms prompting patients to seek medical care.
• The cost of productivity loss among patients with Psoriatic Arthritis and Axial Spondyloarthritis.

This study provides valuable insights into the challenges faced by patients and the significant impact of these diseases on both individuals and society.
